DSP's (Digital-Audio Signal Processor) have become an essential part for control and processing of audio within AV system. Traditionally multi-channel mixers are used to route/process audio with physical sliders and knobs. This approach still works well in some applications such as live sound, but less so in corporate environments as mixing console's can look daunting to the untrained eye - leaving room for error.
